Dear Parents,

If you are reading this letter, you are either a parent of a teenager in our ministry or you are a parent who is searching for a place for your teenager to belong and grow spiritually. I would like to briefly identify several marks of our ministry that may help you catch the vision of who we are and what we do. 

 

SCRIPTURE – We believe there is nothing more important we could do than expose your teenager to God’s Word. We strive to accomplish that end by teaching God’s Word creatively and relevantly through retreats, small groups and other avenues. We also desire to see teenagers personally grapple with Scripture because we believe that process produces “ownership” of their faith.

 

RELATIONSHIPS – Relationships are everything for teenagers; therefore, we place a high value on providing a relational ministry. We also believe that when a teenager feels like they “belong” to a spiritual community, they are more receptive to God. They also develop friendships that provide a Christ-honoring influence. As a parent, it is important to remember that relationships take time and do not develop overnight.

 

SPIRITUAL MENTORS – We know and understand that parenting teenagers can be difficult and discouraging. We are thankful for the adult leaders that God has brought to our ministry to lead and be in relationship with your teenager. We encourage you to embrace their presence in your teenager’s life.

 

PARENTS – We believe that we cannot be successful in accomplishing our vision by ignoring or repelling parents. Please know that we hunger for parental involvement. We understand Scripture to teach that God has established parents as the primary spiritual-shapers in a child’s life and empowers parents to train their children to love and honor him. We do not want to replace you, we want to assist you and be a resource for you.

 

We encourage you explore this site and all that we have to offer your teenager. If you will encourage their involvement, we feel confident that they will experience God in personal and life-changing ways.
